WASHINGTON, DC — May 19, 2009

We have arranged for special room rates for Sunday and Monday nights at the Phoenix Park Hotel. Through a special arrangement, the hotel is also offering the same room rates for a limited number of rooms on Friday and Saturday nights for HIA members who are exhibiting at or attending the DC Green Festival, so you can conveniently stay there for both events. (You must stay at least one of the nights of the HIA Convention to get the special rate.) The hotel is close to the Washington Convention Center where the DC Green Festival is being held.

Please note: Attendees are responsible for making their own room reservations directly with the hotel. Early booking is highly recommended. Once our block of reserved rooms runs out, we cannot guarantee the hotel will have a room for you.

You must CALL the hotel directly to make your reservation. Do not book online.

Please remember to mention the Hemp Industries Association or Group Code #13403 when booking in order to get the HIA group rate, and be sure to get a reservation confirmation number. You must make your reservation by September 11 to get the HIA group rate.

Early Bird Registration Fee – First Attendee: $200 per person from May 19 - June 19. (The General Registration Fee will be $250 per person from June 20 - August 14, and the Late Registration Fee will be $300 per person from August 15 - October 11.) HIA Full Company Members may bring additional attendees (company employees) at a $50 discount each. All other attendees must at least be HIA Supporting Members.

We have set an Early Bird deadline of Friday, June 19 for you to pre-register and take advantage of the special discounted registration fee. Your early registration is appreciated and helps with event planning. As an added bonus, you will receive a free HIA hemp hat at the convention for registering during the Early Bird period.
